Data Science & AI Internship
TSMC Washington is seeking a highly analytical and technically proficient Data Science & AI Intern to drive operational efficiency and optimize production flow within its state-of-the-art semiconductor fabrication facility. This internship offers a unique opportunity to apply advanced data science and AI techniques to real-world manufacturing challenges.

Key project areas include:
- AI/Advanced Analytics for Production Line Insights: Automating and enhancing daily production line analysis. This involves developing data extraction/integration scripts, conducting comprehensive exploratory data analysis, and creating interactive dashboards (e.g., Power BI, Excel VBA) to visualize critical KPIs and trends. Opportunities may also arise to explore predictive modeling for performance forecasting and issue identification.
- Dispatch Logic Optimization: Designing or modifying dispatching algorithms for semiconductor equipment to maximize utilization, meet production targets (e.g., Move Goal, On-Time Delivery), and improve overall performance. Minimum Qualifications:
- Currently enrolled in and have successfully completed the sophomore year (or equivalent) of an accredited bachelor’s degree program in a relevant engineering or scientific discipline.
- Maintain a minimum cumulative Grade Point Average (GPA) of 3.25 on a 4.0 scale (or equivalent).
- Must be legally authorized to work in the United States on a long-term basis without the need for current or future employer-sponsored immigration status.
- Ability to commit to full-time employment (40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM - 5:00 PM) on-site at the Camas, WA location for the entire duration of the internship program.

- The candidate will be expected to be self-motivated learner, good at proactive collaboration, and should get the opportunity to work in a team presenting and discussion their work and ideas.

- Some roles may require the ability to:
- (a) Lift weights in accordance with applicable regulations and safety guidelines, including NIOSH lifting recommendations.

Benefits and Compensation
TSMC offers a comprehensive compensation package for its interns. For new hires, the starting wage typically ranges between $23.00 and $27.00 per hour in Washington, and between $37 and $44 per hour in Arizona. The range displayed reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hires. Actual pay may be more or less than the posted range, influenced by factors such as the individual's skills, qualifications, education, experience, position level, and location.
The benefits package for interns includes eligibility for the 401(k) plan. Employees also receive a robust medical benefits plan and accrue paid sick leave at a rate of one hour for every 40 hours worked.
