The enrollment window is your first and best opportunity to register for the next semester. You can register for classes up to the end of the add/drop period during the first week of classes next year, but class availability is significantly reduced the longer you wait. Registration for returning students opens in waves over several days based on credit hours completed and GPA. Check that your enrollment appointment is open, and if not, wait to enroll after your window opens. New students enroll during their orientation.
Addressing Prerequisite Errors
When registering for courses, you may encounter prerequisite errors. First, review the error details for the prerequisite error. Check for common issues like the course being reserved for specific students (Honors, etc.) and missing prerequisite courses. If you still have problems, contact your academic success coach (advisor) for guidance.
Accelerated Terms: A New Approach to Scheduling
UCF’s 2024-25 academic calendar is introducing accelerated terms that will provide students with greater flexibility and shortened pathways to obtaining a degree. The new sessions condense courses into a shorter time period while still covering the material of an entire semester. UCF is offering new accelerated terms, providing you with options and flexibility to schedule classes that suit your schedule and help you graduate on time.
Beginning in the 2024-25 academic year, UCF is providing additional class scheduling options to colleges. The calendar launches in the 2024-25 academic year. You will be able to register for accelerated terms for the Summer and Fall 2024 semesters. UCF’s colleges have the option to offer courses during the accelerated semesters and will determine if they will offer any classes. Available courses will be listed in mySchedule Builder during the term’s registration period.

UCF colleges will determine the courses, if any, that they’ll offer in the accelerated sessions. Here are some key dates for the accelerated terms:
- Winter Intersession: Dec. 16, 2024 - Jan.
- Session 1: Jan.
- Session F: Jan.
- Summer B: June 23 - Aug.
- Summer C: May 12 - Aug.
- Session 1: Aug. 18 - Nov.
- Session F: Aug. 18 - Oct.
- Session G: Oct. 13 - Dec.
The new accelerated sessions allow students to select courses that suit their schedules and earn their degrees in a timely fashion.
Support Services During Breaks
CDL has always provided some limited support service during the university’s winter break. Phone service is not available.
