Comprehensive Range of Services
UCLA Radiology offers a wide array of diagnostic and interventional radiology services, ensuring that patients have access to the most advanced imaging technologies available. These services include:
CT (Computed Tomography): CT scans use X-rays to create detailed cross-sectional images of the body, allowing radiologists to visualize internal organs, bones, and blood vessels with great clarity. This modality is essential for diagnosing a variety of conditions, including infections, tumors, and injuries.
US (Ultrasound): Ultrasound imaging uses high-frequency sound waves to produce real-time images of soft tissues and organs. It is a non-invasive and versatile technique used for a wide range of applications, including prenatal imaging, abdominal imaging, and vascular studies.

MRI (Magnetic Resonance Imaging): MRI uses a powerful magnetic field and radio waves to create detailed images of the body's internal structures. It is particularly useful for imaging the brain, spine, joints, and soft tissues.
X-Ray: X-ray imaging uses electromagnetic radiation to create images of bones and dense tissues. It is a fundamental diagnostic tool used to detect fractures, dislocations, and other skeletal abnormalities.
Interventional Radiology: Interventional radiology involves performing minimally invasive procedures using imaging guidance. These procedures can be used to diagnose and treat a variety of conditions, including vascular disease, cancer, and pain.
Consultation Services: UCLA Radiology provides expert consultation services to referring physicians and patients. Radiologists work closely with other specialists to ensure that patients receive the most appropriate and effective care.

Making a Diagnostic Study Appointment: To schedule a diagnostic study, patients are encouraged to have their doctor's order sent to UCLA Radiology from the clinic before calling to make an appointment. This ensures that all necessary information is available to facilitate the scheduling process.
Scheduling Mammograms through myUCLAhealth: For female patients over 40 years old, real-time online scheduling is available on myUCLAhealth for annual routine screening mammograms at our breast imaging centers. This provides a convenient alternative to traditional phone scheduling.
Requesting an Interventional Radiology Consultation Office Visit: Patients interested in an interventional radiology consultation can complete the Online Request for Interventional Radiology Consultation Office Visit Form. This form allows patients to choose a date and time that works best for their schedule, and UCLA Radiology will respond to the request within 24 to 48 business hours. Please note that this request form is for a clinic consultation with a physician, not for imaging studies.
