Your Guide to Parking at UCLA's Royce Hall

Royce Hall, a landmark on the UCLA campus, hosts a variety of events throughout the year. Planning your visit, especially regarding parking, can ensure a smooth and enjoyable experience. This article provides a comprehensive guide to parking options, accessibility, and transportation to Royce Hall.

Location and Addresses

Royce Hall and Parking Structure 5 are located at 340 Royce Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90095. For ride-share or drop-off, use the address 10745 Dickson Court, Los Angeles, CA 90095. This will take you to the flagpole turnaround in front of Royce Hall. From there, head west towards the fountain/Royce Quad; Royce Hall will be on your right.

Parking Options

Parking Structure 5

Parking for Royce Hall events is primarily available in Parking Structure 5, located at 340 Royce Drive, Los Angeles, CA 90095.

Directions to Parking Structure 5:

From Sunset Blvd, turn South onto Royce Dr.
Continue past the first two intersections (both Royce Dr and Charles E Young Dr N).
Parking Structure 5 will be to your right after the 2nd intersection. Signage will be present to direct you.

The daily parking rate is $14. Be aware that if you park in Structure 5 when the event zone (2552) is inactive, the daily cost for this premium lot increases to $20. If visiting UCLA during non-event times, Lot 4 is recommended, with a standard rate of $14.

Accessible Parking

Accessible parking is available on Level 4 of Parking Structure 5. Use the Park Mobile App or purchase a parking pass from the kiosk on level 6 of parking structure 5 before parking on level 4. Level 4 does not require the use of stairs.

Dickson Court Parking

You can also park in Dickson Court using a purchased parking pass or mobile app pass, you must display your DP parking placard. If you purchase your parking pass from Structure 5 you may still park in Dickson court, make sure your DP placard is visible when you park.

Directions to Dickson Court:

Sunset to Hilgard, turn West onto Wyton to enter campus, turn left onto Charles E Young Drive East and proceed to Dickson Court.

Guest drop off is located at the flagpole in the Dickson Court turnaround. Wheelchair assistance is available.

Alternative Parking Structures

*Parking in Structure 4 will require that you walk up Janss Steps (87 steps) to get to Royce Hall.

Lot 4: From Sunset Bllvd, enter north campus at Westwood Plaza and proceed straight to the underground parking structure. Lot 4 accepts cash and credit cards.

Purchasing Parking Permits

Purchase your daily parking permit at the kiosk located in Parking Structure 5, Level (just before the pedestrian bridge) an additional kiosk is available in Parking Structure 5, Level 6 (top level). You will need to enter your license plate number to purchase parking. Payment station kiosks only accept cash and credit cards.

UCLA parking pay stations will require your license plate number and a credit card or exact cash for payment. Should you choose to utilize this option please give yourself a few extra minutes to purchase your parking pass upon arrival. Pay stations accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express for your convenience. Pay station kiosks accept Visa, Mastercard, Discover, and American Express and only accept $1, $5, and $10 bills and DO NOT give change back.

Drop-off and Ride-Sharing

Guest drop off is closest at the turnaround at the front of Royce Hall located at: 10745 Dickson Court, Los Angeles, CA 90095.

Ride-share drop off is located at the flagpole in Dickson Court - 10745 Dickson Court, Los Angeles, CA 90095. Some ride-share companies use the 340 Royce Drive address, this address will take you to the back of Royce Hall and often to the lower lot.

Accessible Services

The house at Royce Hall includes ADA seating, aisle-side transfer seats with folding armrests and is equipped with an assistive-listening system. Free wheelchair assistance from the parking structure is available.

Wheelchair assistance will be available on Level 4 of Parking Structure 5.

Bus Routes:

Get off the bus at Hilgard and Wyton, and then head southwest on Wyton Drive toward Charles E Young Dr. East. turn left at Charles E Young Dr. East, turn right at Circle Drive East and continue on West Dickson Ct.
Get off the bus at Hilgard and Westholme and then head west on Westholme Avenue towards the UCLA Campus, veer right to stay on Westholme Avenue, turn right at Charles E Young Drive South, and then turn left at W Dickson Ct.
Get off the bus at Westwood Plaza and Strathmore Plaza, Walk towards the Ackerman Center and the Ashe Center, take a right on the Bruin Walkway and continue up the stairs until you reach Portola Pl. Take a left of on Portola Plaza until you reach the flagpole.

Light concessions are available for purchase an hour before performances and during intermissions for select performances.
The I-405 Sepulveda Pass Widening Project is underway. This is impacting traffic and you should expect delays on the west side. Full freeway and lane closures are anticipated during this project.
