As a UMKC graduate, you automatically become a member of the UMKC Alumni Association, granting you access to a wealth of benefits, services, and opportunities designed to support your personal and professional growth. This article explores the diverse advantages available to UMKC alumni and how you can leverage them to stay connected, advance your career, and give back to the university.

Automatic Membership and Ways to Engage

Upon graduation from UMKC, you are automatically considered a member of the UMKC Alumni Association. There are no annual dues, but you are invited to participate financially by supporting the UMKC Alumni Fund at any amount. The association brings together a growing network of UMKC graduates to make connections and celebrate milestones and achievements.

Contributing Members can further enhance their involvement by donating $50.00 or more per year to the UMKC Alumni Fund or any scholarship, school, or program at UMKC. A $1,000 donation helps fund an endowment that supports the activities of the Alumni Association.

The Blue & Bold Campaign: Shaping the Future of UMKC

UMKC is currently engaged in the Blue & Bold campaign, an ambitious initiative to raise \$700 million to support a visionary strategy to boost the profile of the university and its capability to serve the future. Every part of our campus and the UMKC community will be lifted through the support generated by the campaign.

Whether you've attended UMKC or have become a friend of UMKC along the way, you're a Roo. And if there's one thing we Roos have in common, it's that we love UMKC. A lot. So now it's our turn to let you know that we feel the same about you.

Every gift to UMKC makes us a place of greater opportunity. You can make a difference now and in the future through giving to endowed funds.

UMKC: A Place of Opportunity and Excellence

UMKC is an incredibly special place. A place where excellence is accessible to everyone, where people with talent, grit, and a desire to do great things will find the education they need within their reach.

UMKC is unique. We are one of fewer than 3% of universities nationally that combine intensive research activity with high community engagement.

Giving Day: A Celebration of Generosity

Join us for this 24-hour celebration of generosity on March 3-4. On Giving Day, our community rallies to support the programs and causes that matter most to you. It’s a time to show what it means to be a Roo - bold impact, bold momentum and bold Roo pride!

Supporting the Conservatory

The UMKC Conservatory is a catalyst for the performing arts in Kansas City. One-time donations are always welcome and much appreciated, but there are other ways to support the Conservatory and our mission. Constituent groups help support specific groups or causes within the Conservatory through membership contributions. Considering a major gift contribution to the Conservatory? We'd love to talk with you.

The UMKC Conservatory is undergoing a renovation and expansion focused on hearing safety, updated technology, increased usable space and ADA compliance in the Olson Performing Arts Center. The Conservatory is embarking on an exciting new chapter with a major campaign to expand and renovate the Olson Performing Arts Center. This addition will add critical rehearsal and performance spaces for our students of music, dance and theatre.

Conservatory alumni are doing amazing things in music, dance, theatre and beyond. Upon graduation, Conservatory students join a growing list of alumni building successful careers in the performing arts and related fields. The Conservatory is home to impressive programs in music, theatre and dance, preparing students for diverse careers after graduation. The UMKC Alumni Association helps connect fellow classmates, supports current students, and contributes to a number of volunteer opportunities designed to help alumni connect and give back to the university.
