Minimum and Preferred Qualifications for Pre-Health Advisor

The minimum qualifications for the Pre-Health Advisor position include a Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience, four to five years of job-related experience, and skills in university-level academic program requirements, verbal, written, and interpersonal communications, and basic computer skills.

Preferred qualifications include a Master's Degree in higher education administration, counseling, or a field related to healthcare professions (e.g., biology, biochemistry, etc.), four to five years of job-related experience, and knowledge of health professional schools' admission processes and procedures. Past work with pre-health professional and student organizations (NAAHP, AMSA, MAPS, etc.) and previous experience with professional school application databases (AMCAS, AACOMAS, TMDSAS, etc.) are also valuable.
