The primary function of one position is to execute a variety of cleaning tasks throughout residential communities housing 1,200 or more residents. This position also includes scheduled summer tasks, transitions and the cleaning of rotating camps, conferences and student orientations. The General Manager will provide strategic and operational leadership for a high-volume, multi-unit residential dining facility. The General Manager reports to the Associate Director of Residential Dining and is responsible for ensuring extraordinary customer service, fiscal accountability, staff development, and compliance with health, safety, and university standards.

Transportation

Safe operation of buses on campus routes and occasional charters. Complete paperwork associated with assignments. Follow written and verbal instructions as required by supervisory personnel. Occasional bus washing and other non-driving tasks are required from time to time.

Fieldwork includes, but is not limited to, helping to plant, maintain, harvest, and process field studies. Work in the field and greenhouse will be done in hot conditions. Help with the planting and harvesting of the wheat breeding nursery in North and South Georgia. Will also help with the upkeep of six greenhouses and preparing of seed to be replanted in field. Overnight trips and working 8 hours in the heat of the summer.

Variety Testing Program

This is a part-time (up to 20 hours per week) position. The assistant will be working in the Variety Testing program, performing seed lab activities and sometimes field work.
