Financial Services

Paying for college involves a partnership between students, their families, and the university. Student Financial Services carefully examines each student's unique circumstances and offers the best package of support possible. Throughout the year, Student Financial Services lists employment opportunities. In addition to on-campus jobs, a number of jobs are available in community service agencies throughout Tulsa. It is the responsibility of the student to find employment and to work enough hours to earn the award. A common work week is 11 to 12 hours. Students will be paid bi-weekly as funds are earned. Earnings are paid directly to the student through direct deposit. Therefore, the Federal Work Study award cannot credit to the student’s bill at the beginning of the semester. If the award is needed to help with the student’s bill, a payment plan must be set up with the Bursar’s Office. Arrangements for direct deposit should be made through Human Resources.

Institutional jobs are offered by offices around the university that need additional employees. The money earned at the institutional job is not funded by the Federal government like work-study employees. The individual departments pay for the employee out of their budget.

Administrative and Oversight Roles

Internal Audit

The Internal Auditor Officer leads the university’s internal audit function, providing oversight of operational, financial, and compliance audits across departments and programs. This role designs and executes a comprehensive audit plan aligned with institutional objectives, evaluates internal controls, and ensures compliance with laws, policies, and best practices.

Human Resources

The Office of Human Resources is dedicated to providing the highest level of customer service. The University of Tulsa offers attractive employment benefits, work-life balance, and opportunities for growth. Human Resources is committed to recruiting and retaining a diverse and energetic mix of employees. We are also committed to putting students first and to sustaining the continual growth and advancement of our university.
