The benefit will apply for up to four years, or eight consecutive semesters. Qualifying students will be automatically considered for the program without submitting a separate application beyond completing the Free Application for Federal Student Aid by Feb. 15, 2026.

Leave Accrual and Management

Monthly Leave Accrual

Employees accrue vacation and sick leave on a monthly basis. You will get the full month’s leave accrual, even if you join mid-month. For example, if you join in the middle of April, you’ll still get 8.0 hours of VAC and SCK for that month.

Longevity Pay

Eligible employees receive longevity pay of $20 per month, increasing every 24 months of two years of service with the University and/or the State of Texas.

Parking

For employees whose offices are off-campus, such as at the Bailey or May Street buildings, parking arrangements and entry questions should be addressed with the relevant department. My office is off campus (Bailey, May Street, etc.) at another building.
