The USM student portal, MyUSM, serves as the central online hub for students at the University of Southern Mississippi. It’s the primary platform for communication with professors, collaboration with classmates, and access to essential University resources and information. This guide provides a detailed overview of how to effectively utilize the portal and its associated tools.

Leveraging Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus

Microsoft Office 365 ProPlus is available to all active students at USM. Additionally, you can install Microsoft 365 on up to five devices, including PCs, Macs, tablets, and smartphones.

Enhancing Security with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA)

iTech Support

As a student at Southern Miss, iTech is the department you go to with all your technology needs. Our team on iTech work as hard as they can each day, but they do have set office hours that follow that of the University. Below, we wanted to walk you through some of the things they can help you with in more detail.

If you ever need to reset your password, update your account settings, or troubleshoot login issues, visit iTech’s Campus ID page. There, you’ll find FAQs, tutorials, and contact information. Your CampusID is key into all of your USM accounts. However, there are different ways to use the usernames. Need help? Our iTech department offers a bunch of free tech savvy resources under their “How Do I?” section. Unfortunately iTech cannot help with Canvas issues.
