These services are offered through strategic partnerships, on-campus clinics, and a dedicated student services area focused on overall well-being.

Expanded Healthcare Services through UT Health San Antonio

In a significant step towards enhancing student health, UTSA has partnered with UT Health San Antonio to provide expanded healthcare services on campus. This inter-institutional partnership, initially announced in April, brings the expertise of UT Health San Antonio's distinguished physicians and clinicians to UTSA students.

Wellness 360 Clinic

A key component of this partnership is the Wellness 360 clinic, a nurse practitioner-led facility located in the Recreation and Wellness Center building. This clinic offers a holistic approach to healthcare, providing a comprehensive range of primary care and preventive health services.

The services provided at Wellness 360 include:

  • Acute Care: Addressing immediate health concerns and providing prompt treatment.
  • Health Screenings: Identifying potential health risks through routine check-ups.
  • Immunizations: Protecting students from preventable diseases.
  • Diagnostic Bloodwork: Conducting laboratory tests for accurate diagnoses.

Cindy Sickora, DNP, RN, vice dean of practice and engagement with the UT Health San Antonio School of Nursing, emphasizes the commitment to patient-centered care, highlighting the compassion of the nurse practitioners and licensed experts at Wellness 360.

Access and Scheduling

All currently enrolled students of UT San Antonio are eligible to receive care at the Wellness 360 Adult Clinic. For students enrolled in the Student Health Insurance plan, a co-pay applies per office visit and for covered services. Online direct scheduling for student and employee appointments is available through MyChart. Students can log in with their MyChart username and password or create an account to schedule appointments. Students seeking on-campus health care or counseling can also call Wellness 360 at 210-458-4142 or log into their MyHealth Portal to schedule an appointment.

Athletics Healthcare

UT Health San Antonio also serves as the official healthcare provider for UTSA Athletics. This collaboration ensures that student-athletes have access to specialized medical care, including primary care, orthopedics, physical therapy, imaging, and surgical services.

Mental Health and Well-being Resources

UTSA recognizes the significant impact of mental health on academic achievement and overall well-being. To address the increasing demand for mental health services, the university offers a variety of resources to support students' emotional and psychological needs.

Wellbeing Services

Wellbeing Services is a dedicated student services area within the division of Student Affairs, aligned with UTSA’s Enriching Campus Wellbeing Initiative. This initiative focuses on the well-being of every member of the campus community. Wellbeing Services provides a holistic approach to clinical services, prevention, education, advocacy, and skill-building efforts.

TimelyCare

UTSA students have access to 24/7 virtual health and well-being support through the TimelyCare app. This resource provides an additional option for students seeking mental health care.

Confidential Counseling

Students have free and confidential counseling available 24/7.

Additional Health and Safety Measures

UT Health San Antonio has partnered with Sentry MD, a confidential health record compliance service, to provide a more streamlined health requirement tracking solution. A policy change now requires certain employees to meet several additional health requirements not previously asked of them.
