Unveiling the Vanderbilt Alumni Reunion Weekend: A Comprehensive Guide

Vanderbilt University's Alumni Reunion Weekend is a cherished tradition, offering alumni a chance to reconnect with friends, reminisce about their time on campus, and celebrate the vibrant Vanderbilt community. Vanderbilt University hosted more than 5,800 alumni and guests on campus Nov. 6-9 for Reunion and Homecoming 2025. Reunion Weekend is full of opportunities to reconnect with friends and celebrate the Vanderbilt community. The annual Reunion Weekend provides a unique opportunity for alumni to return to campus and engage with the university's current state. The many ways alumni support Vanderbilt are evident, from volunteering their time, to engaging with the community and supporting the Dare to Grow fundraising campaign through initiatives like the Competitive Excellence Fund, which allows the team to recruit and retain top student-athletes.

Mark your calendars today for this exciting weekend in Nashville. Save the date for Reunion Weekend-Oct. 15-18, 2026! We look forward to a special Reunion in 2026 celebrating the classes of 1966, 1971, 1976, 1981, 1986, 1991, 1996, 2001, 2006, 2011, 2016, & 2021! Reunion will begin on Thursday, Oct. 15, with a kickoff party and conclude on Sunday, Oct. 18, with a farewell brunch. You can also look forward to time on campus on Friday with offerings throughout the day, the ever-popular class parties, and the homecoming tailgate and football game vs. University of Arkansas on Saturday. More information about the weekend schedule will be available later this spring with registration opening this summer.

A Day-by-Day Breakdown

While specific schedules may vary from year to year, here's a general overview of the types of events you can expect:

Thursday:

  • Weekend celebrations often begin in true Music City form with a Quinq Welcome Reception and Downtown Kickoff Party Thursday evening.

Friday:

  • Friday morning, Chancellor Daniel Diermeier gave an update on the state of the university, followed by an interview with Kelly Goldsmith, E. Bronson Ingram Professor and professor of marketing, in Sarratt Cinema. He also shared a historic moment for the university that was cemented earlier in the week.
  • Friday afternoon, there was a live recording of the Quantum Potential podcast, during which Provost C. Cybele Raver and Matthew Johnson-Roberson, inaugural dean of the new College of Connected Computing, brought Vanderbilt’s research momentum to life.
  • Other weekend offerings included Commodore Classrooms on national security and volleyball’s return; a Homecoming Block Party on Library Lawn featuring Nashville food trucks; and Community and Affinity Receptions highlighting belonging and connection.

Saturday:

  • Join moderator Baxter Webb as he sits down with esteemed professors Eric Johnson, Jesse Blocher, and Ranga Ramanujam as they share Owen’s perspective on today’s most pressing business topics.

Sunday:

  • Sunday festivities started with a Bluegrass Brunch and a 50th Reunion brunch and induction ceremony for the Vanderbilt Quinqs. In a memorable finale to the weekend, the community gathered at The Pinnacle music venue on Sunday night in celebration of Vanderbilt’s Sesquicentennial.

Registration Information

To attend Reunion Weekend, it's necessary to register in advance. Events for Reunion Weekend are priced individually for convenience and flexibility.

Registration Process

  1. Visit the Reunion Registration site (Click Here) and select "Register Now".
  2. Fill out the Primary Registrant information fields (name, class year, address, etc).
  3. Add guests.
  4. Select the appropriate package:
    • Undergraduate Reunion package.
    • Quinq Alumni package.
    • Homecoming Alumni package.
  5. Make event selections from the popular Reunion events listed.
  6. Use the Continue button at the bottom of the screen to move through the registration form.
  7. There is an opportunity to make a class gift before the check-out page.
  8. Submit payment. Payment must be completed to secure registration.
  9. Save for future reference at Reunion.
  10. Registration is complete.

Registration Timeline and Pricing

Early Registration pricing begins on September 3 and will end on September 30. Regular Registration pricing will be in effect October 1 - October 31. Last Chance pricing begins November 1 through the close of Reunion Weekend. After Reunion begins, all registration is on a space-available basis, so please register early.

Payment must be made via the registration portal and all major credit cards are accepted. Due to the ongoing remote operation of our office staff, we regret that cash and check payments cannot be received during advance registration. Refunds on event fees are available through October 31. Please note that gifts made during registration are final and cannot be refunded.
