General Application Information
To apply for the scholarships listed below, students enrolled in the specified programs should sign in during the application period using their Wake Tech key account and complete the general application. The regular application cycle runs from March 1 to April 30 each year. Those not currently enrolled in the listed programs should return to the site during the regular application cycle.

AFCOM NC Chapter Scholarship: Established in 2021, this scholarship supports students enrolled in a computer technology associate degree program at Wake Tech, nurturing the next generation of IT professionals.

Brasfield & Gorrie Founder’s Award: Created in 2017, this award benefits Architectural Technology students, fostering innovation and excellence in the built environment.

Bonnie Fischer’s Hope for the Future Scholarship: Established in 2021, this scholarship provides students with financial need access to high-quality education and training without accumulating large amounts of debt, ensuring that financial constraints do not hinder academic pursuits.

Connie Mack Price Jr. Scholarship: Established to honor Connie Mack Price, Jr., who passed away on June 10, 2023. Connie worked for the State Highway Patrol in Raleigh for many years repairing and painting vehicles.
Laura Farkas and Brian Scholarship: Laura Farkas taught history at Wake Tech for nearly eight years, and her husband, Brian, taught Engineering at NCSU for over twenty years.
General Scholarships
These scholarships offer broad support for students across various programs and backgrounds.
Altrusa International of Raleigh Scholarship: Established in 1999 by members of Altrusa International of Raleigh, this scholarship supports students committed to civic service and community involvement. Altrusa was founded in 1917 as the first women’s civic service club, with the Raleigh Club organized in 1938.
Ashworth Scholarship: Established in 2014, this scholarship is awarded to a student obtaining a degree in the Health Sciences from Wake Tech. Ralph and Daphne Ashworth’s genuine desire is to help provide a student with the opportunity to achieve a successful career.
Bojangles/Tri-Arc Foods Scholarship: Established in 2015, this scholarship is awarded each year to a student obtaining a degree from Wake Tech. is the owner and operator of one of the largest Bojangles’ franchises in North Carolina and Virginia.
Coles Daniel Scholarship: Established in 2020 by Barbara A. Coles and Linda R. Daniel to support students pursuing any curriculum program at Wake Tech, including all degree, certificate, and diploma options.

Student Spotlights
Cheryl Ward: Cheryl Ward worked for several years in retail and clerical jobs, gradually saving enough money to be able to take 18 months off and retrain as a Certified Medical Assistant (CMA). She graduated from the Wake Tech Medical Assisting Program in 1999.
