Furthermore, the Senator José Peralta New York State DREAM Act provides access to New York State-administered student financial aid for undocumented students and others, helping them afford higher education. Students eligible for the NYS DREAM Act must complete a separate application for each program they wish to receive aid from.

Once the donor sends a check directly to the college, the information is forwarded to the Office of Financial Aid to accurately add the scholarship to the student's financial aid award.

The Scholarship Foundation

The Scholarship Foundation, established in 1998, is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing scholarship awards to economically disadvantaged students who meet federal poverty guidelines recognized by the Virginia Department of Education Neighborhood Assistance Program. The Scholarship Foundation applies annually for state tax credits through the Neighborhood Assistance Program. Based on credits received, qualified donors may provide up to 65 percent state tax credits.

Businesses (Sub S, Partnership, LLP, LLC, PC) that contribute at least $616 are eligible for a state tax credit of 65% of the total contribution. Contributions may be in the form of cash, stock, or real estate. Some professional services may also be accepted. Tax credits are available to individuals or married couples that make cash donations. The minimum donation by an individual or married couple must be at least $500. The value of the tax credit is equal to 65% of the donation up to a maximum of $76,923.08 credit per taxable year.

To qualify for a scholarship from the Scholarship Foundation, students must be economically disadvantaged, enrolled in a degree program, and residents of the WCC service region.

Alumni Engagement

The Office of Alumni Engagement fosters meaningful relationships between alumni and the college community, supporting alumni, students, and the college as a whole.

The Native Plant Center

The Native Plant Center, established in 1998 under the Westchester Community College Foundation, promotes the use and conservation of native plants.

Woodland Community College Scholarship Program

The Woodland Community College Scholarship Program is administered by the Yuba Community College District Foundation. Scholarships are available for incoming, re-entry, continuing, and transfer students. Enrollment requirements vary per scholarship, with most requiring at least half-time enrollment. A Yuba Community College District (YCCD) student ID number is required to apply. All completed applications are evaluated by Woodland Community College Scholarship Committees for selection of scholarship award recipients.
