All of our Advanced Placement courses are College Board Approved.

This one-on-one time is crucial for our teachers to assess how your child is progressing on the building blocks of core concepts such as phonics and counting. These do occur one on one with teachers, but teachers will help find times that meet family needs.

Students will generally have access to courses for up to 20 weeks from their enrollment date. Students will gain access to their classes very quickly after the enrollment process is complete. Switching to Online Schooling

To switch to online schooling, prepare the necessary documentation, which typically includes academic records (transcripts or report cards), proof of age, and potentially other documents depending on your specific situation. Fill out the Accelerate Online Academy application form, providing accurate and complete information. If you are currently enrolled in another school, formally withdraw according to their procedures. Once your application is reviewed and accepted by Accelerate Online Academy, you’ll receive confirmation of your enrollment.

Transferring Credits

If your student is enrolling as a full-time student at Accelerate, they will work with the administration to determine the best course of study. This process will include an evaluation of previous coursework to see which credits can be transferred. Understand that not all credits may transfer directly. Contact your student’s home school before enrolling at Accelerate. Each school or district has its own policies regarding accepting credits from outside institutions.

Enrollment Deadline

No, students can enroll in semester-long flexible courses at any time of the year! All courses, except Advanced Placement (AP), can be taken as semester-long flexible courses.

FERPA and Student Privacy

The Family Educational Rights and Privacy Act (FERPA) is a Federal law that protects the privacy of student education records. Parents, legal guardians, and individuals acting as a parent or guardian in the absence of the student’s parent/guardian of students under the age of eighteen have the right to access their child’s education records and to authorize the disclosure of personally identifiable information contained in education records to any third party.

Directory Information

“Directory information” is information from a student’s education record that would not generally be considered harmful or an invasion of privacy if disclosed. “Directory Information” MAY be, but is not required to be, disclosed by the Academy without consent of the parent or eligible student. Opt-Out forms are effective for the school year in which they are submitted. The Academy may disclose “Directory Information” about students no longer enrolled in the Accelerate Academy without providing notice as otherwise required and without providing an additional opt-out opportunity.
