Navigating the YVCC Student Portal: A Comprehensive Guide

Choosing to attend college is a significant decision. Yakima Valley College (YVC) aims to make this process easier by providing accessible resources and clear information through its Student Portal. This guide will walk you through key aspects of the YVCC Student Portal, from understanding tuition and fees to making payments and managing your enrollment.

Understanding Tuition and Fees at YVC

YVC is committed to making college affordable for everyone. One of the ways it achieves this is by offering lower tuition and fees compared to a 4-year public university or private college. YVC wants you to be fully aware of the cost of Lower Division Tuition & Fees and Upper Division Tuition & Fees upfront.

For specific programs, such as those in professional/technical fields, the tuition is $715 plus additional applicable fees per quarter. It’s important to note that under HB1079, students who qualify as Dreamers are eligible to pay in-state tuition rates, further enhancing accessibility to higher education.

Tuition Payment Procedures

Generally, tuition is due when you register for classes. Failure to pay tuition on time may result in being dropped from your classes for nonpayment. If you are unable to pay tuition when you register, consult the Important Dates page for specific tuition due dates.

Here's a step-by-step guide to making a payment through the YVCC Student Portal:
