The Allstate HBCU Legacy Bowl is more than just a football game; it's a comprehensive platform designed to uplift and empower students from Historically Black Colleges and Universities (HBCUs). A key component of this initiative is the Allstate HBCU Legacy Bowl Career Fair, presented by the Black College Football Hall of Fame. This career fair provides invaluable job opportunities and career counseling for HBCU students, helping them transition from college to successful careers.

A Hub for HBCU Talent and Top Employers

The Allstate HBCU Legacy Bowl Career Fair has rapidly become the largest HBCU career fair in the nation. The Career Fair provides job opportunities and career counseling for HBCU sophomores, juniors, seniors and recent graduates. It serves as a vital bridge connecting talented HBCU students with the nation's leading employers. Participants have the opportunity to connect with the nation's top employers. This past year, over 1,500 HBCU students from 58 different HBCUs attended, networking with 110 of the nation's top employers. Hundreds of jobs were offered to HBCU students.

The career fair is an invitation-only event. Request an invite by submitting your application. By registering for this event, you are authorizing TeamWork Online to share your profile with employers attending the event.

Live panels will feature experts in career success. This includes career counseling, resume workshops, and interview preparation sessions, equipping students with the tools they need to excel in their job search and future careers.

Allstate’s Director of Consumer Marketing and Sponsorship, Dan Keats, expressed the company’s century-long appreciation for the incredible athletes produced by HBCUs. This partnership extends beyond financial support, with Allstate actively participating in the Career Fair and other Legacy Bowl events.

The Black College Football Hall of Fame's Vision

The Black College Football Hall of Fame, a non-profit organization located at the Pro Football Hall of Fame in Canton, Ohio, was founded in 2009 to honor the greatest football players, coaches, and contributors from Historically Black Colleges and Universities. The Black College Football Hall of Fame's dedication to preserving and celebrating the legacy of HBCU football is evident in its creation of the Allstate HBCU Legacy Bowl and its commitment to supporting HBCU students. With 113 inductees and major initiatives like the Allstate HBCU Legacy Bowl, the organization has awarded over $300,000 in direct support to HBCUs and HBCU scholarships since its inception.

Held annually during Black History Month in New Orleans, Louisiana, and broadcast live on NFL Network, the event serves as a week-long celebration of Black culture and history. The recent announcement by the Black College Football Hall of Fame revealed the first players selected for the 2024 Allstate HBCU Legacy Bowl. Representing North Carolina Central University, Quarterback Davius Richard, and representing Florida A&M University, Quarterback Jeremy Moussa, have been chosen for this prestigious event.
