Applicants must be able to work flexible and some unusual hours during the team's season including nights and weekends. Detailed Department Descriptions

Sponsorship Services

The Sponsorship Services Intern will assist the Corporate Sales and Sponsorship Services Department in ensuring adherence to sponsor contract provisions, including execution of promotions and planning/execution of special events. This position will capture all advertising elements within the stadium during game days as well as facilitating client hospitality; they will act as a sponsor contact responding and fulfilling any request made by the sponsor; maintain records for all sponsor activities, tasks and accomplishments; assist with assembling client presentations and recaps; and assist with general operation of the Sponsorship Services Department. Intermediate working knowledge of PowerPoint and previous experience with Photoshop is a plus.

Community Relations

The Community Relations Intern will work closely with the Angels Chairman, Director of Community Relations (or Partnerships), and Manager, Foundation and Community Initiatives in organizing charitable programs and events such as the Angels 5K & Fun Run, Rally Readers, Military initiatives, and Youth Baseball/Softball activities. The Community Relations Intern will also coordinate monthly in-kind donations, ticket donations, merchandise requests, and have regular communication with community partners.

Communications

Primary responsibilities for the Communications Intern (or Communications Game Day Intern) will include preparation and distribution of pregame information, including stat packs, rosters, lineup sheets, game notes and press releases for the press box and broadcast booths and writing/researching/distributing postgame notes for all Angels home games. The intern may also maintain and distribute daily newspaper and magazine clips, assist with press box game management, participate in writing and production of publications and organizing photographs, work with Communications staff in notifying media members of breaking news, handle daily media written correspondence and fan/media phone inquiries, and conduct extensive statistical research projects for media and coaching staff.

Ballpark Operations/Special Events

The Ballpark Operations Intern and Special Events Intern will support the overall stadium operations by assisting in the preparation, execution, and daily administration of all events at Angel Stadium. The intern will gain insight and experience into many different facets (or disciplines) involved in operating a Major League Ballpark and hosting Special Events, such as Security, Facilities/Housekeeping, Parking, Guest Services, Ballpark Tours, Food & Beverage, Merchandise, Employee Relations, and Event Management. The interns will work within the Ballpark Operations and Special Events departments and play an active part in the planning and organizing of all (baseball and non-baseball) stadium events, which includes: preparing detailed event memos and diagrams in accordance with Angel Stadium space and rental requirements; preparing event parking lists, credential lists, staffing sheets, employee communications for each event; acting as a department representative for customer service issues, inter-departmental events and projects, and third-party companies at Angel Stadium; and basic administrative functions of a Stadium.

Digital Media

The Los Angeles Angels are also seeking a Digital Media intern.

Compensation and Benefits

Interns are paid hourly, with rates ranging from $16.50 to $20 an hour depending on the role and qualifications. They work up to 40 regular business hours per week for up to 8 or 11 months, depending on the position. In addition to hourly pay, interns are eligible for sick time (after 90 days of employment) and 401k employee contributions after 3 months. Qualifications for All Intern Candidates

All intern candidates must meet certain qualifications to be considered for the program:

  • High school graduate. Associates or Bachelors degree preferred
