Associated Students of San Jose State University: A Comprehensive Overview
Associated Students (A.S.) of San Jose State University (SJSU) is a student-owned and operated non-profit organization with a history spanning over a century. A.S. Committees

- Marketing Committee: The A.S. Marketing Committee focuses on target specific interests. The committee maintains a collaborative relationship with the A.S. Marketing and A.S. Events Departments. The committee meets every Friday of each month from 11:30pm-12:30pm in the A.S. Conference Room (S.U. 203 A/B).
- Sustainability Committee: The Sustainability Committee meets the first and third Friday of each month from 10:00am-11:00am in the A.S. Office Conference Room (S.U. 203 A/B).
- Student Rights Committee: The Student Rights Committee meets the first Friday of each month from 1:00pm-2:00pm in the A.S. Conference Room (S.U. 203 A/B) & Academic practices, policies, and procedures.
- Personnel Committee: This committee oversees the A.S. and the A.S. President in completing periodic evaluations of the A.S. and recommends to the A.S. the A.S. professional and contractual employees to the A.S. to the Employee Handbook.
The César E. Chávez Community Action Center
Established by Associated Students in July 2005, the mission of the César E. Chávez Community Action Center is rooted in the values and principles of César E. Chávez. The Center focuses on service to humanity to which Chávez dedicated his life.

Funding for Student Organizations

Funding is provided on a first-come, first-served basis and is not guaranteed. The A.S. maximum $3,000 submitted then determine the amount of financial support.
