At the completion of the summer session, interns return to their colleges/universities; if approved to continue with the internship during the fall/spring semesters, students will work an intermittent schedule (16 hours per month) at an FBI office closest to them in order maintain their security clearance. Students can then return the FBI as a full-time, paid intern the following summer.
