Accessing Blackboard Learn
The myWallaceState Experience is now available! Students can access Blackboard Learn through the button located at the top right of the WSCC homepage. To log in, students should use their credentials, which they recently claimed. Please refer to the password you set at that time.
Navigating the Interface
Upon logging in, students will find themselves on their personal home page. This page features cards for easy access to various tools utilized at WSCC. Initially, the home page will be blank until students add favorites, allowing for a personalized experience. New cards become available, and the layout is designed to be customized by each user.
Key Features and Tools
Bell Icon
The bell icon allows users to view notifications in the Banner System. Clicking on the bell icon will display these notifications, keeping students informed about important updates and announcements.
Card Customization
Blackboard Learn allows students to customize their home page by adding favorite cards. Any cards found can be added as favorites if desired, based on the user's assigned permissions. To add a card as a favorite, click on the star icon at the top right of the card. The icon will darken when clicked, indicating that the card has been added to favorites. To remove a card from favorites, click the star icon again, and it will return to its clear state.

Student Category of Cards
Within the Student Category of Cards, students can find access to their Personal Information, financial aid details, registration tools, and academic resources. This category is designed to provide quick access to essential student services.
Card Arrangement
Students can rearrange the order of cards on their home page to suit their preferences. To move a card, click on the four-way arrow icon at the top of the card, then drag it to the desired position in the line of cards. This feature allows students to prioritize the tools they use most frequently.

Wallace Way Sessions
Wallace Way sessions are designed to help students transition to college life. These sessions include a tour of the college, where their classes will be held, and provide information about available resources and support services. Wallace Way sessions will be held July 14, July 20, July 25, Aug. 4 and Aug. 10 each day. Students attending these sessions can also obtain their parking pass and student ID.
Academic Tutoring
Wallace State offers free academic tutoring for all students. The tutoring lab is an “open-lab,” meaning no appointment is necessary. Students can visit the lab for independent study or be assigned a tutor for individual and group tutoring. The tutoring lab is located in the Bailey Center on the 8th floor of the Hanceville campus, with a computer courtyard providing access to 20 computers. Online tutoring services are also available through Upswing.
