The Bridging The Gap Scholarship (“BTG”) is modeled on the principle of increasing minority representation in the AmLaw 100, the world’s largest law firms (commonly referred to as “Big Law”). The scholarship provided me access to crucial resources during the admissions process. Most importantly, the scholarship program provided me with the unique opportunity to connect with successful Black law students whose mentorship was truly invaluable. It's not often law students make it their duty to prepare the next class of law students with their financial resources and time.BTG invested in me by providing me with resources and mentorship to help me matriculate through my legal career. The Bridging the Gap scholarship set me up for true success at the start of my law school journey.

The Quell Foundation Bridge the Gap Scholarship

The Quell Foundation Bridge the Gap Scholarship is awarded to Master’s level graduate students pursuing a degree in psychology, counseling, social work or other fields of study related to the provision of mental health services. The award was established as a means of fulfilling The Quell Foundation’s mission: to increase the talent pipeline through scholarship awards to students entering the mental healthcare profession, to expand the delivery of needed mental healthcare services, and promote reformation to extend the scope of clinical and behavioral health professional services.

Eligibility Requirements for The Quell Foundation Bridge the Gap Scholarship:

Field of Study: Student must be pursuing a degree in the mental health care field which leads to licensure to treat clients, and with intent to practice within the United States.
Educational Institution: Student must be accepted and enrolled in an accredited College or University within the United States.
Academic Level: Student must be in a Master's level graduate program (Doctoral students are not eligible to apply).
Enrollment Status: Student must be matriculated and maintain full-time enrollment in a Master's program.
Academic Performance: Students must have a minimum GPA of 3.80 and obtain a passing grade in all classes.
Award Usage: Award must be applied to degree-granting institution within academic year 2025-2026, and may only be applied for tuition expenses.

Through academic, social, and cultural support, students will be equipped with a quality education and the tools to see greatness in themselves, others, and the greater community.
