The "Climb Higher" Scholarship

The “Climb Higher” Scholarship encourages students to achieve their very best during high school, so they can further their education after high school. Initial award $1,000 per year for two years, totaling $2,000. Recipients may then re-apply for 2 more years. To maintain eligibility, the student must continue full-time enrollment and keep a GPA of 2.8 or higher.

Preference will be given to first-generation college students. However, any student is welcome to apply. Awarded to an MDSD graduating senior who has attended MDSD for a minimum of 2 years and who will attend, full time, an accredited institution of higher education or a vocational school the fall immediately after graduation.

Applicants need to submit a one-page cover letter that explains their possible career goals, their target educational program, a brief financial plan of how you might pay for your education, and how this scholarship will help you achieve your goals.
