Navigating Your Future: A Guide to Counseling Services at College of the Canyons
College can be a transformative experience, filled with academic challenges, personal growth, and important decisions about your future. College of the Canyons (COC) recognizes the importance of providing comprehensive support to its students, offering a wide array of counseling services designed to help you succeed both inside and outside the classroom. These resources cater to a diverse student population, addressing academic, career, and personal well-being.
Immediate Assistance: Express Drop-In Counseling
For students needing quick guidance, COC offers Express Drop-In Counseling. This service provides immediate access to a counselor during normal business hours. Express Drop-In is designed for brief consultations, typically limited to 15 minutes. It's ideal for addressing urgent questions or concerns.
It's important to note that during peak times, some services at Express Drop-In may be adjusted to accommodate the demand. While the college strives to maintain counselor availability during in-person Express Drop-In hours, unforeseen circumstances may necessitate scheduling changes. Additionally, Online Express Drop-In may be temporarily locked to manage long waiting queues. The service reopens as soon as the lines are minimized.
Comprehensive Planning: Scheduled Appointments
For more in-depth discussions, such as external transcript evaluations and comprehensive educational plans, students can schedule 1-hour appointments. These appointments allow for a more thorough exploration of your academic goals and a personalized plan to achieve them.
Specialized Support Programs
COC offers specialized counseling services tailored to specific student populations and programs. These programs provide targeted support and resources to help students thrive in their unique circumstances.
