Montgomery is one of nine two-time 1,000-yard rushers in Cyclone history. Campbell admits that he doesn’t know if they would be where they are as a football program today without David’s demand for excellence. Montgomery added that he takes a lot of pride in what Iowa State accomplished just because this was a place people didn’t go to.
