Internship Opportunities
The division has a long history of inviting post-baccalaureate and graduate-level students to intern within its departments. Many students fulfill their requirements for their degrees by completing required hours with one of our departments. Students have come from within DePaul as well as other neighboring institutions such as Loyola, Northwestern, Roosevelt and the University of Illinois at Chicago.
The Benefits of On-Campus Employment
An on-campus job offers more than just a paycheck and a short commute. It’s an opportunity to build professional and interpersonal skills, and gain experience that will prepare you for your future career.
Tips for Landing an On-Campus Job
As with any other job search, landing an on-campus job is a competitive process.
- Cast a Wide Net: Like many jobs that are in high demand, it’s a numbers game. Apply to as many as seem to fit your needs, abilities, and availability.
- Follow Up: Some job postings on Campus Job Board will include the hiring manager’s contact information.
- Be Professional: This may seem obvious, but many on-campus job applicants make the mistake of under-dressing for the interview or approaching it too informally. Do your research and prepare. Dress professionally. Be on time.
Commitment to Equal Opportunity and Safety
DePaul University is an equal opportunity employer with a strong commitment to hiring for our mission and diversifying our faculty and staff.
