Summer Internship Program Overview
The Summer Internship Program is a full-time, paid opportunity that runs for nine weeks. The program is based out of the New York office. This immersive experience allows interns to contribute to real-world projects, collaborate with industry professionals, and gain a comprehensive understanding of the media landscape.

Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the Dotdash Meredith Summer Internship Program, applicants must meet the following criteria:

- Internships are available to current Sophomores, Juniors, and Seniors at an accredited college or university.
- You must be available to work full time for the entire 9 weeks of the program in the NY office, 3 days a week.
- You must have access to your own housing and transportation to/from the NY office.
Available Roles: Research & Insights Team
One example of an internship opportunity is within the Research & Insights team. This team focuses on understanding user engagement and consumer behavior to support Dotdash Meredith's iconic brands.
About the Team: Experts in our audiences & brands who get to work with data that supports our iconic and beloved brands, including: People, Allrecipes, InStyle, Byrdie, BHG, Investopedia, Travel + Leisure, & more. brands. This role will be a hybrid across our Research & Insights team which specializes in understanding user engagement using our 1st party data and our Primary Research team which manages our consumer panels & designs surveys to engage our readers.
Responsibilities
Interns in this role can expect to contribute to various aspects of the research process, including:
- Data Analysis: Leveraging 1st party & various syndicated research sources to access & analyze data from a variety of sources: Looker, D/Cipher, MRI-SIMMONS, MRI/Comscore Fusion, Comscore, IPSOS Affluent, Telmar, Mintel, and Google Analytics.
- Survey Development: Assisting with survey development and link testing: Support questionnaire design, proofreading, and survey programming quality checks.
- Insight Synthesis: Weaving in cultural and market context to strengthen project narratives.
- Data Visualization: Analyzing and visualizing data: Use Excel, Google Sheets, and PowerPoint/Slides to clean data, identify insights, and build visual summaries.
- Storytelling: Supporting insight storytelling: Help synthesize findings into clear, engaging decks that communicate consumer trends to internal stakeholders.
- Cross-functional Collaboration: Collaborating cross-functionally: Attend meetings with editorial, marketing, and insights teams to understand the real-world impact of research findings.
- Tool Development: Developing or leveraging tools that enhance the efficiency of the research department: AI agents, Google Sheet templates, etc.
