Fairfield University Alumni Weekend: A Comprehensive Guide to Events and Traditions

Fairfield University's Alumni Weekend is an annual tradition that brings together alumni, students, and families for a weekend of fun activities and special events. It's an opportunity to reconnect with classmates, experience campus transformations, and celebrate Fairfield traditions. Reunion Weekend Overview

Reunion Weekend is a special event within the broader scope of Alumni Weekend, often focused on specific graduating classes celebrating milestone anniversaries. Mark your calendars for Reunion Weekend. We're planning a full weekend of activities for you, and can't wait to welcome you back to campus.

Key Information for Attendees

  • Registration: Online registration has now closed.
  • Housing Key Pick-Up: If you are staying in campus housing on Friday night, you must pick up your housing key in the Aloysius P. Kelley, S.J. For security purposes, all alumni must pick up their own housing keys; keys will not be given to friends.
  • Off-Campus Receptions: For those attending an off-campus reception, if you are not staying on campus on Friday night, you do not need to come to campus before heading to your event, unless you would like your name tag. Your name will be on a list at the door.
  • Weather: Rain locations will be provided when possible for select events, but otherwise everything takes place rain or shine. Umbrellas and raincoats/ponchos are encouraged in case of rain.
  • Parking: Guests may park in any available lot as well as the parking garage on campus throughout the weekend, with the exception of the Bellarmine Hall upper lots on Saturday evening. Please take care to park only in valid parking spots.
  • On-Site Purchases: Please note that cash is recommended for the purchase of drink tickets at the Taste of Fairfield and Bellarmine Dinner Dance.

Alumni & Family Weekend (AFW)

Each fall, students, families, and alumni gather at Fairfield University for Alumni & Family Weekend (AFW). The weekend is a Fairfield tradition that offers a variety of fun activities and special events for students, alumni, and families alike for one weekend every fall. Come see for yourself. Reconnect. Enjoy. Network. Experience Fairfield traditions and the campus transformations.

Accessing the Schedule

In an effort to go paperless, in place of a printed schedule, we have created the Fairfield University Application. including iPhone and Android devices for free. We ask that you take the time to download the app before arriving on campus for the weekend. The Alumni & Family Weekend Guide will be live on the Fairfield University App this fall.

All Alumni & Family Weekend attendees will receive complimentary tickets in their registration packet. Please be sure to register to take advantage of this promotion; all tickets sold online (FairfieldStags.com/TIX). and at the gate will be full price.

Special Athletic Celebrations

  • Celebrate with the Friends of Fairfield Volleyball for an off-campus gathering.
  • Hit the course and then celebrate with the Friends of Fairfield Cross Country. Click here to register.
  • Pick up a stick and take to Conway Field at Rafferty Stadium, then celebrate with the Friends of Women's Lacrosse. Click here to register.
  • Catch the Red Ruggers in action and celebrate with the Friends of Rugby.
  • Join members of our varsity athletic teams, coaches, and administrators as we officially kick of the 2018-2019 athletic season!
  • Celebrate the 20th anniversary of the 1998 MAAC Championship team and all past Fairfield Volleyball MAAC Champions. Click here to register.
  • In addition to the traditional intrasquad scrimmage, the crowd will be formally introduced to the 2018-19 Stags by Head Coach Sydney Johnson. This event is by invitation only and tickets are required.
  • The defending MAAC Champion Stags host MAAC foe Saint Peter's. This will be the Stags' "Herd for a Cure" match. T-shirts and raffle tickets will be sold and donations will be collected to support the Norma Pfriem Breast Center.

Reunion Class Gifts

Reunion Class Gifts honor your time at Fairfield, fostering resilient leaders, creative visionaries, empathetic caregivers, dedicated philanthropists, and inspiring educators. All gifts and pledges from July 1, 2024 through June 30, 2025 will be counted in the Reunion Class Gift totals and will make a difference for today's Fairfield students.
