School Operations and Safety
The Fannin County School System prioritizes the safety and well-being of its students and staff. For instance, earlier today, a student at Fannin Middle School ran from the building, prompting the involvement of the school administration and other community first responders. The situation was handled effectively, and at no time was there any danger to other students, staff, or the school community. All Fannin County Schools and Offices resumed normal operations the following day.
The Fannin County School System also takes inclement weather into account. Due to continued icy roads on the East side of the county, the Fannin County School System operated on a virtual learning day on Wednesday, February 4, 2026. Students were expected to complete their school’s virtual learning day assignments, with schools providing additional information as needed. If students were unable to complete their work, they had three days to make up any assignments.
