Job interning stands out as a premier method for individuals to investigate potential career paths and gain insights into the operations of a company. Globe Life offers an eight-week summer internship program designed to provide students with practical experience in the insurance industry.
Experiencing Corporate Life at Globe Life
Higher education provides a foundational learning environment, but the Globe Life internship offers something more. Spending time at Globe Life’s headquarters in McKinney, Texas, is a valuable opportunity to witness firsthand how business is conducted daily within a large corporation. This experience can be invaluable as you develop in your career, especially when learning how specific technologies related to your field are applied in a real-world setting.
Building Connections and Skills
Company internships, like those at Globe Life, are excellent avenues for making professional connections and friendships. The Globe Life internship program facilitates this through various activities and events. Onboarding week includes attending a Texas Rangers baseball game at Globe Life Field in Arlington, Texas, providing a relaxed environment for interns to bond.
Other activities are planned to enhance the internship experience, including networking events, workshops on communication, and psychological work safety. These sessions are designed to equip interns with essential soft skills that complement their technical knowledge.
Direct Interaction with Leadership
One of the unique aspects of the Globe Life internship is the opportunity to chat directly with the leadership of the Company. This includes managers, directors, all the way up to Executive Vice Presidents, and even CEOs. From Intern to Employee
For some, internships sometimes turn into potential jobs. It’s a possible foot in the door to a company you have worked for. The Globe Life internship is designed to identify and cultivate talent, and successful interns may find opportunities for full-time employment after graduation.
A Business Analyst Experience at Globe Life Insurance
This summer, one individual had the privilege of interning as a Business Analyst at Globe Life Insurance, a leading provider of life insurance policies known for its commitment to customer service and comprehensive coverage options.
Tasked with an important project by their manager, Jeff Branstetter, VP of Policy Benefits, the intern was required to create workflows and RACI charts related to payment processes. To accomplish this, the intern conducted more than 100 meetings to research and understand how each process works across different departments. This intensive research phase provided a deep understanding of the company's operations and the interconnectedness of various departments.
The intern had the opportunity to collaborate with Beatrice Howard, an Operations Business Analyst, on this project. Together, they were able to achieve significant progress and create comprehensive workflows that improved payment processes. This collaborative experience highlighted the importance of teamwork and communication in achieving project goals.
In addition to this project, the intern worked on devising strategies for the professional growth offerings that the company provides. This involved using skills in Excel and SQL, as well as presentation abilities, to present findings to top C-suite executives. This experience showcased the intern's analytical and communication skills, and provided valuable exposure to senior management.

This mentorship provided guidance and support, helping the intern to develop their skills and knowledge.
Celebration and Gratitude
After eight weeks of the Globe Life internship, a final dinner celebration is typically arranged. This event marks the culmination of the internship experience and provides an opportunity for interns to celebrate their accomplishments with their colleagues and mentors.
Overall, the internship at Globe Life Insurance was an incredibly rewarding experience. Deep gratitude is expressed to Prof. for his guidance throughout this journey.
