Key Features of the Work-Study Program

  • Financial Assistance: Students are paid $10.00/hour, helping them cover educational expenses without accumulating debt.
  • Work Hour Restrictions: Students may work a maximum of 19 hours per week; overtime is not available.
  • Scheduling Flexibility: Work hours should be scheduled with the student’s academic schedule in mind, and as mutually agreeable between the student and supervisor.
  • Important Note: Please be aware that changes to student financial aid packages and in federal funding could affect the Work-Study program.

Tuition Waiver for Dependent Children

Dependent children of full-time employees seeking a degree or certificate are eligible for a tuition waiver applied to Spring and Fall only.

Tuition Assistance for Employees

Full-time employees, employed for at least two (2) years as of August 1 of the year in which they will attend are eligible for six (6) semester hours of free tuition. Full-time employees are eligible to register for up to six (6) semester hours during the Fall and Spring semesters and three (3) semester hours during intersession and summer sessions. Application is available on HR Forms for Current Employees.

Free Class Each Semester

Full-time employees are eligible for one (1) free class each semester (Fall & Spring Only). Class must be approved by your supervisor and VP of Business Services. Must make a grade of “C” or better.
