How to Apply
The INROADS Internship Program matches underrepresented minority students with internship opportunities with more than 60 major corporations, including Fortune 500 companies. The application process involves several key steps:
- Complete a Process Review Session
- Submit a One-Page INROADS standard formatted resume: Your current resume must have ALL of the required sections of the INROADS standard resume template(s).
- Complete the Candidate Prep Session Workshop: The INROADS CPS is a mandatory training workshop for all qualified candidates designed to enhance your corporate interview readiness and provide you with an understanding of INROADS and our corporate partners’ expectations.
- Complete the INROADS Mock Interview: The INROADS Mock Interview is a practice interview to help us gauge your interviewing skills and determine if you are ready to give a successful corporate interview. You should complete a mock interview close to your Candidate Prep Session completion.
You are required to submit an unofficial copy of your transcript to INROADS when you apply and after each term is completed. Log into your application profile and upload documents directly to your profile. If you are no longer interested or available to be considered for the INROADS Process; submit your opt-out request to Cancel My Internship Application to be removed from our active contact list.
It is important to note that submitting an application or interviewing with one or more of our Corporate Partners does not qualify you as an INROADS Intern. You are not considered an INROADS Intern until you are offered and accept an internship for the summer from one of our corporate partners.
The application deadline is typically in early March.
Internship Structure and Expectations
INROADS Internships are primarily full-time during the summer months. There are some limited micro-internships and fall/spring opportunities available. An INROADS internship is year-round requiring the commitment to certain standards and participation in specific activities, including summer employment at a participating company, training workshops, staff coaching, and community service.
