Undergraduate Programs
Lincoln University offers undergraduate courses during two 15-week semesters and one or two six-week summer sessions each year. A student is considered a full-time undergraduate student if they take 12 or more credits during a fall or spring semester. The standard full-time tuition is charged to all undergraduates taking between 12 and 18 credits per semester. During a summer session, six or more credits is considered a full-time course load. - Doctor of Business Administration (DBA): This advanced academic program educates students in the concepts and techniques needed to understand a range of business disciplines and to conduct research on issues arising in professional business practice. The program requires a total of 93 units, including core courses, concentration courses, and research seminar and dissertation courses. Concentrations include Finance and Investment, Human Resources Management, and International Business. A maximum of 30 master-level units from another educational institution may be transferred. - Master of Business Administration (MBA): The MBA program is designed to develop broad managerial competence to enable graduates to cope with a wide variety of business situations. The program is comprised of 36 graduate units, including core and concentration units. A maximum of 9 graduate credit units may be transferred from other institutions. Kingsley Ezekiel Ojinnaka, an MBA Candidate, states that Lincoln University has given him the academic knowledge he was looking for to boldly confront any difficult situation in the business world and that exceptional faculty helped him relate theory to practice, preparing him for any challenge his career can throw at him. Sevan Marderosian, also an MBA Candidate, stated that at Lincoln University he learned a lot when it comes to business administration and that the knowledge and practical experience he gained from the professors made him confident that he will be ready to start and succeed in his career after graduation.
- Master of Science in International Business: This program enables students to gain an in-depth and applied understanding of the complexities and functions of international management professionals in a globally competitive business and economic environment. The program consists of 36 graduate units, including core and concentration units, and allows for the transfer of a maximum of 9 graduate credit units.
- Master of Science in Finance Management: This program prepares students to assume management-level positions that require an understanding of the tools and techniques used in financial analysis, planning, and forecasting, as well as current business financial functions and practices. The program is comprised of 36 graduate units, including core and concentration units, and allows for the transfer of a maximum of 9 graduate credit units.
Admission Requirements
Lincoln University has an open admission policy, admitting all applicants as long as certain minimum requirements are met.
Graduate Programs
A bachelor’s degree or its equivalent from an accredited institution is required for admission to the graduate (MBA, MS, and DBA) programs. Conditional admission to MBA and MS programs may be granted to applicants with a CGPA less than 2.7, based on their personal statement, letters of recommendation, and a detailed review of their prior academic transcripts. Conditionally admitted students will be granted regular graduate status after achieving at least a 3.0 GPA in a term with 9 units or in two consecutive terms with a total of at least 15 units.
Conditional admission may be given to students missing GMAT/GRE test scores and/or recommendation letters. The regular status will be granted after - (1) achieving a GPA of 3.2 or above during a first term of 9 units minimum or (2) submitting required GMAT/GRE results and/or recommendation letters. Three letters of recommendation and a GMAT (550 minimum score) or an equivalent GRE score are required for regular admission.
Conditional admission to the DBA program may be granted to an applicant who shows high promise but has a CGPA less than 3.0 or is missing other requirements. Determination of high promise can be made by the Provost and is based on the applicant’s personal statement, resume, recommendation letters, GMAT or GRE scores, or academic transcripts. Conditionally accepted students with a CGPA between 2.6 and 2.9 will be granted regular graduate status after achieving a cumulative GPA of 3.5 or better during the first two consecutive terms of the program (15 units minimum).
