Teaching House London is ideally situated in London’s historic Soho region, just metres from Oxford Street and minutes from the theatres of the West End, Chinatown and Fitzrovia. The college was established in 1974 and provides a wide range of English language and teacher training courses. Our students come from all over the world - with over 100 nationalities represented at the College in a typical year. Our English language courses are accredited by the British Council, and Teaching House London is accredited by the British Accreditation Council for Independent Further and Higher Education as a college. Our campus facilities include a well-equipped library, Wi-Fi access and a rooftop cafe/espresso bar. All trainees also have access to printing and photocopy facilities.
Accommodation Options
For trainees not based in London, Teaching House London works with local providers to offer a range of accommodation options. All prices are per week and valid for 2026. There is an additional £70.00 accommodation placement fee. Homestay: In our carefully selected homestay accommodation will feel at home and be able to get on with your course work in friendly surroundings. You will have your own room, and can choose between 3 catering options: self catering, breakfast only, or half-board. London is divided into Zones for transport purposes; Zone 1 is the centre of London going out to Zone 6. Homestay in London Zones 2 - 6 is provided through an accommodation agency. Shared rooms are only available if you are coming with another person at the same time and leaving at the same time.
