Dining Venues at Loras College
Loras College offers several dining venues, each with a unique atmosphere and menu:

Loras College offers several meal plan options to suit different lifestyles and dietary needs. Your meal plan is accessible through your student ID; simply swipe your card at the designated locations. Meal plans reset at the end of each semester.
Dewey’s Daily Meal Plan: This plan provides eighteen meals per week to be used at the Café. It also includes $250 Duhawk Dollars, which can be used at Einstein Bros Bagels, the Duhawk Market, the Pub, and concessions. In addition, the plan includes three guest meals. This plan is available to first-year students.
Dewey’s Dining Meal Plan: This plan offers fifteen meals per week at the Café. It also includes $200 Duhawk Dollars for use at other dining locations and three guest meals. This plan is available to first-year students.
Traditional Dining Plan: Available to upper-class students living in Beckman, Binz, or Rohlman halls, this plan provides eight meals per week at the Café, along with $200 Duhawk Dollars and three guest meals. This plan is available to junior and senior students. All Loras students living in Beckman, Binz, or Rohlman halls are placed on a traditional dining plan.

Duhawk Dollars
Duhawk Dollars are available to students on an active meal plan and can be used at Einstein Bros Bagels, the Duhawk Market, the Pub, and concessions. These dollars are non-transferable. Duhawk Dollars cannot be used during periods when the college is closed.
Housing and Meal Plan Requirements
All students living in traditional housing (Beckman, Binz, and Rohlman) are required to have a meal plan. First and second-year students are required to participate in either Dewey’s Daily Meal Plan or Dewey’s Dining Plan. Students living in alternative housing (Byrne Oaks, Lynch-McCarthy Apartments, Smyth Hall, or College-owned houses) receive a Loras Meal Plan included with their housing assignment but can upgrade to any other available meal plan at their request.

- Meal Plan Changes: All meal plans will automatically be reassigned for the spring semester unless the residence life office is notified of a meal plan change application via Loras Residence Symplicity. Meal plans cannot be changed after the first Friday of the term during the fall and spring semesters.
- Non-Transferable and Non-Refundable: Meal plans are not transferable from one student to another, and any meals not eaten at the end of the semester are not transferable and are nonrefundable.
- Meal Availability: The meal contract entitles students to meals when classes are in session.
