The MFA Foundation Scholarship Program stands as a beacon of opportunity for students residing within MFA's trade territory, offering financial assistance to fuel their pursuit of higher education. With a commitment to nurturing the potential of rural America, the foundation provides scholarships to eligible high school seniors, empowering them to achieve their academic and career aspirations.
A Legacy of Investment
Since its inception in 1965, the MFA Foundation has been steadfast in its mission to advance educational opportunities for young individuals in rural communities. Jointly administered by MFA Incorporated and MFA Oil, along with their local affiliates, the foundation has awarded over $18.7 million in scholarships to nearly 16,000 students. This enduring commitment underscores the organization's belief in the transformative power of education and its dedication to fostering the growth of future leaders in agriculture and beyond.
Scholarship Details
The MFA Foundation scholarships are specifically designed to support students pursuing studies that will contribute to the advancement of rural America. These scholarships, each valued at $2,500, can be utilized at any accredited college or university towards an associate's or bachelor's degree. The funds are intended to alleviate the financial burden of higher education, covering expenses such as tuition, fees, books, supplies, and equipment.
Eligibility Requirements
To be eligible for the MFA Foundation Scholarship, applicants must meet certain criteria:
- Be a high school senior
- Be a child, stepchild, grandchild, or step-grandchild of a member-level customer of MFA Agri Services Centers, MFA Oil Company Bulk Plants, or other MFA agencies
- Reside in one of the following states: Missouri, Arkansas, Indiana, Iowa, Kansas, Kentucky, Oklahoma, or Tennessee
Application Process
The application process for the MFA Foundation Scholarship is conducted online. Interested students can access the application portal on December 1, 2025, and must submit their completed applications by February 15, 2026.
