Scholarship Programs Offered by MSGCU

Rudolph Heino People Helping People Scholarship
This scholarship is designed for high school seniors who are heading to college and have demonstrated a commitment to helping others. It recognizes students who embody the "people helping people" philosophy through their actions and contributions to their communities.
William Cayen Skilled Trades Scholarship
The William Cayen Skilled Trades Scholarship supports students pursuing certification in various skilled trades programs, including electrical, HVAC, automotive, industrial, and advanced technologies. This scholarship aims to address the growing demand for skilled trades professionals and support students seeking careers in these fields.

Stephen Thomas First Responder Scholarship
The Stephen Thomas First Responder Scholarship is specifically for individuals enrolled in police and/or fire academies at local colleges. This scholarship supports future first responders who are dedicated to serving and protecting their communities. Applications for this scholarship are made directly through Macomb Community, Oakland Community, Washtenaw Community, and Schoolcraft Colleges. MSGCU provides 14 scholarships of $2,000 each for this.
Scholarship Details and Application Process
MSGCU is offering over $130,000 in scholarships. This amount includes 43 scholarships of $2,500 each. The application period is from January 2nd through February 25th. Scholarship applications can be submitted online through the MSGCU website.
Eligibility and Membership
Non-members are welcome to apply for MSGCU scholarships. However, if selected as a scholarship recipient, individuals must become an MSGCU member. MSGCU welcomes everyone in Michigan to bank with them and has 22 branch offices across Southeast Michigan.
