The Rising Cost of Education and the Importance of Scholarships
According to the National Center for Education Statistics, the average tuition and fees at four-year institutions have risen significantly in the past decade. The National Center for Education Studies also reported that a substantial percentage of undergraduate students take out federal loans for post-secondary education. Scholarship opportunities like the Mountain America Scholarship Program aim to help ease these financial burdens of continuing education.
