  • Job Availability: The following job postings have been approved for students who have been offered Federal/State College Work Study funds as part of his/her overall financial aid package. This information will be updated as jobs become available. Please note that students are not guaranteed a job.

Residence Education & Housing Services

Residence Education & Housing Services is seeking Summer Facilities Building Worker team members to join our team! This posting is for Owen, Van Hoosen, McDonel and Shaw Facilities. Starting pay is $14.73/hr.

Culinary Positions

Location: River Trail Neighborhood which includes the Gallery At Snyder, Thrive at Owen and the Vista at Shaw. As a Student Cook, you will be responsible for assisting full-time and supervisory staff members with the preparation, cooking, and serving of food for all meal options in our venues.

University Trademarks and Licensing

University Trademarks and Licensing at Michigan State University is looking to hire 1-3 students to help with Game Day Enforcement. The students support University Trademarks and Licensing by identifying individuals who are selling counterfeit merchandise or any items on campus two hours prior to each home football game. Pay rate: $17/hr. Location: 1855 Place. Over the years, symbols, icons, traditions, and trademarks have come to represent the passion of Michigan State alumni, fans, students and student-athletes. The MSU Trademarks and Licensing (UTL) office was established to ensure that these marks and symbols are used properly.

Forest Akers Outside Operations

As a member of Forest Akers Outside Operations, you will be responsible for controlling the start of play on the 1st and 10th tee of the golf course, greeting customers and clients, transferring golf bags, cleaning golf clubs, assisting with bag room service, monitoring pace of play on golf courses, and cleaning/storing golf carts throughout the day. Starting Pay: $15.73/hour

Important Policies and Procedures

  • Timekeeping: Students are expected to “clock in” and “clock out” at the start of their shift, during lunch breaks, and at the end of their shift.
