Your name as it will be printed on your digital and printed diploma, ceremony program, ceremony name card and ceremony screen banner, can be reviewed following these directions in your PipelineMT > Registration & Student Records (left menu) > Academic Records box > click on the Graduation Information link. Your diploma name is your legal name on file in the MTSU student system at the time you submitted your Intent to Graduate form. All diploma name changes for December 2025 expected graduates must be submitted by Friday, October 17, 2025. If you do not check your diploma name and submit the name change form if needed, you will not be allowed to change your name as it is listed on your name card at the graduation ceremony. You do NOT have to submit legal documentation if you are simply changing an existing middle name to an initial, removing a middle or maiden name from your diploma name or updating your diploma name based on an official name change completed after submission of your Intent to Graduate. If you are an International Student only International Affairs or the College of Graduate Studies may change your system name.
