James H. Groves Adult High School: A Pathway to Graduation

At James H. Groves Adult High School, students have the opportunity to learn in accordance with their abilities, interests, and aspirations within the framework of standards prescribed by the State Board of Education. The faculty and staff firmly believe in several core principles:

  • Curriculum reflects the needs of the adult learners and enhances the individuals’ opportunities for employment and lifelong learning.
  • Students, staff, and administration interaction enhances the quality of the educational program.
  • Productivity increases as self-esteem increases.
  • Student goals must be addressed in the instructional setting.

In-School Credit Program

James H. Groves and other New Castle County schools have joined together to provide services for students who are unable to complete graduation requirements during the regular school day. The program will permit students to continue their education at their home school and attend classes at the James H. Groves Adult High School.
