Pace University Student Portal: Your Comprehensive Guide

Welcome to Pace University! This guide provides essential information for navigating the Pace University Student Portal, a crucial tool for accessing academic resources, financial aid information, and university updates. Whether you're a new or returning student, understanding how to use the portal effectively will enhance your Pace experience.

Activating Your Pace Portal Account

Before accessing any Pace University online systems, you must activate your account. This is a one-time process. Student Pace Portal accounts are automatically generated when a student is accepted to Pace, while faculty and staff accounts are generated after initial hiring paperwork is processed.

Locating Your Username:

  1. Go to the Pace University Directory.
  2. Type your First and Last name in the Name textbox.
  3. Select Applicants (for students) or Faculty/Staff in the Person Type textbox.
  4. Click Search.
  5. After receiving results, click View Details next to your name.
  6. Write down your Username.

Setting Your Initial Password:

The initial password format for new accounts is your first and last name initials (lower-case), followed by a hyphen, and then your date of birth in MM-DD-YYYY format (with hyphens between month, day, and year).

Example: If your name is John Doe, and you were born on January 3, 1998, your initial password would be jd-01-03-1998. Passwords are case sensitive.

If the system does not accept your initial password, it may be because the date of birth is missing or was added AFTER the account was created. In that case, try replacing your birth date portion of the initial password with your 9-character University ID.

  5. Click Save and then click Continue.
  6. Log out when you are done.

Note that users can only change their passwords once in a 24-hour period.

Navigating the Pace Portal Interface

Once you have successfully logged in to the portal, you will be brought to your student portal page. Your portal page is divided into tabs, channels and columns. The Pace Portal provides access to a wealth of information and resources:

  • Tabs: Located at the top of the page, tabs organize information into categories such as "Students," "Faculty," and "Staff."
  • Channels: These are smaller boxes within each tab that provide quick access to specific tools and information.
  • Columns: The layout of the portal is often divided into columns to help organize the various channels and information.

You will use the Pace Portal to access information about Pace activities, events, and news. In addition, the Portal will give you access to your courses, accounts, financial aid, registration, grades, and much more!
