The Financial Aid Scholarship Services Office awards several hundred scholarships each year to undergraduates who demonstrate outstanding academic achievement and financial need and who are residents of Washington state. The Martin Family Foundation supports the Martin Achievement Scholarship and the Martin Family Foundation Honors Scholarship. Both are designed to enable exceptional students of Washington community colleges to complete their bachelor’s degrees on the UW’s Seattle campus.

STEM-Focused Scholarships

Washington NASA Space Grant Consortium prepares students for the workforce of tomorrow through hands-on education and research, offering scholarships, fellowships, research internships and more to selected students pursuing degrees in science, technology, engineering and mathematics throughout the state of Washington. There is no service obligation to apply for the scholarship.

One scholarship grant for $500.00 will be awarded for the academic school year 2025-2026. College applicants must have a minimum cumulative GPA of 2.5. The Scholarships for Military Families Program expects that the student completes the application themselves and they must attest to this when submitting the application.

LSUS Scholarship Opportunities

LSUS offers guaranteed academic scholarships for full-time students pursuing their first bachelor's degree. No separate application is required. Once you apply for admission, your information will be reviewed, and you'll be notified about the scholarship you qualify for. LSUS provides the ProPELL Scholarship to help Pell Grant eligible students with tuition expenses. This scholarship is available for first-time Freshman enrolling in the fall semester. It covers any remaining tuition balance after Pell Grant, TOPS, and LSUS Scholarships are applied. No additional application is required. Once you apply for admission to LSUS, your eligibility will be reviewed. LSUS offers Transfer Scholarships for full-time students pursuing their first bachelor’s degree. No additional application is needed for these merit-based scholarships. After applying for admission, your information will be reviewed, and scholarship recipients will be notified. The Noel Foundation Transfer Scholarship is generously funded by the Noel Foundation and administered through the Office of Scholarships for full-time students pursuing their first bachelor’s degree. Noel Foundation Transfer Scholarship cannot be combined with the LSUS Transfer Scholarship. The LSUS Foundation and private donors generously fund over $300,000 in scholarships for our students. Scholarships may be used to pay for qualified expenses, which include tuition, fees, lab fees and books according to IRS Publication 970. Other degree-related costs (like supplies or equipment required for specific classes) that are purchased from, and paid directly, to the school are also allowed. Exceptions can be considered if the student is enrolled in an undergraduate program of study that normally requires more than 4 years. All exceptions will be handled on an individual basis. post-secondary institution of higher education are not eligible to receive funds from this program. * It is the recipient’s responsibility to forward the check to the appropriate office at the college or university.Program AdministrationThis program is independently administered by Purple & Gold Scholarship Foundation, LLC, a nonprofit scholarship service organization which has no connection to the Defense Department. PGSF is solely responsible for the selection of scholarship recipients and its decisions are final.
