The Rotary Peace Centers: A Hub for Future Peace Leaders

Rotary Peace Centers, made possible through the generous support of donors, offer Rotary World Peace fellows the opportunity to obtain a master’s degree in areas such as conflict resolution, peace studies, international relations, and other related fields. Responsibilities at Rotary Centers focus on preventing and resolving conflict by examining its root causes, such as illiteracy in education and issues related to disease and healthcare. Fellows will apply their classroom learning through collaborations with governmental and non-governmental organizations worldwide. Scholarship availability varies by district.

The Rotary Peace Centers program cultivates the capacity of peace and development professionals to become effective catalysts for peace through academic training, practice, and global networking opportunities. Since the program's inception in 2002, the Rotary Peace Centers have trained over 1,800 fellows who now work in over 140 countries. In just over 20 years, The Rotary Foundation has trained more than 1,700 fellows at our Rotary Peace Centers.

The Rotary Peace Fellowship is designed for leaders with work experience in peace and development. These fellows are committed to community and international service and the pursuit of peace. Accepted candidates engage in the study of peace and development issues through research-informed teaching and interaction with a diverse student body. During the one-year blended learning program, experienced peace and development professionals with diverse backgrounds gain practical skills to promote peace within their communities and regions. Internship Opportunities at Rotary: Shaping Future Leaders

Rotary offers internships to college students, providing them with valuable work experience. Rotary views its interns as integral members of the Rotary family, offering them opportunities to work alongside experienced professionals in various departments, from the production floor to the accounting department.

One intern, Anna, who attends the University of Cincinnati enrolled in the Lindner School of Business, noted the positive and outgoing environment at VSG (presumably a division or partner organization). On weekdays away from work, Anna enjoys boating on the river and spending time with friends from high school. Another individual, Nathan, commented that Rotary is a very large company. Alex mentioned enjoying numerous outdoor activities along with sports.
