Business Ethics Course
Business Ethics, offered by the Management Department, is considered a Management Department course, even with the course number 522 indicating "International Business and Business." Students seeking equivalent credit for Business Ethics should discuss this with the RBS Study Abroad advisor and have a syllabus reviewed.
Finance Majors
Finance majors should note that if a student fails a course at Rutgers Business School, they cannot retake it abroad. Additionally, students planning to declare a finance major cannot take Intro to Financial Management 33:390:300 abroad.
Course Approval Process
Students must satisfy all prerequisites and requirements at RBS before taking any business courses abroad. Retaking courses abroad is not permitted. Approved courses can be found in the Rutgers Global Study Abroad Course Equivalency Database.
All courses taken abroad must be approved in writing prior to the student studying abroad to ensure credit transferability. The Course Approval Form should be used for all courses.
It is the student’s responsibility to ensure that the courses they are approved to take abroad are being offered in the same semester they are attending.

RBS will accept any non-business courses abroad used for requirements (core curriculum, secondary majors, minors, etc.) pending departmental evaluation and approval. However, if an RBS student transfers out of the Business School, these courses may or may not transfer for equivalent credit, depending on the transfer course approval process of the new school.
