The Tutorial Academic Enhancement Center at Nicholls State University provides small group tutoring in subjects like math, English, computer science, biology, chemistry, physics, and foreign languages.

Ellender Memorial Library, for example, houses hundreds of thousands of books and periodicals, along with access to e-books and electronic reference sources.

- Assessment Centers: These centers help students assess their skills and place them in appropriate courses. All Mt. SAC students are required to participate in assessment for course placement to ensure they have the opportunity to succeed in their coursework.

- Financial Aid Offices: These offices provide information and assistance with applying for grants, loans, scholarships, and work-study opportunities. The Financial Aid Office at Mt. SAC helps students complete the Free Application for Federal Student Aid (FAFSA) and other financial aid applications.
- Admissions Offices: These offices are responsible for student recruitment and admissions programs. They guide prospective students through the application process and provide information about the university. Admissions and Records at Mt. SAC is usually the first office prospective students visit.
Student Life and Well-being
Student services buildings play a vital role in fostering a positive and supportive campus environment. They often house offices and resources dedicated to student life and well-being, such as:
- Student Affairs Offices: These offices provide opportunities for student involvement, personal enrichment, and wellness services. They offer educational programs that help students achieve their personal, academic, and professional goals.
- Counseling Centers: These centers provide counseling services and programs to help students with mental health, psychiatric, and developmental issues. The University Counseling Center and Psychological Services offer individual, couples, and group counseling, as well as consultation and outreach.
- Health Services: Student health services provide medical care and health education to students. As part of the Mt. SAC ACCESS & Wellness program, Student Health Services provide physical and mental health services to students in a confidential environment.
- Student Life Offices: These offices promote student engagement, responsibility, inclusion, and advocacy. They support co-curricular involvement, enhance civic engagement, and nurture appreciation of diversity. The Student Life Office at Mt. SAC provides information on student clubs, leadership development, and volunteer opportunities.
- Campus Recreation Centers: These centers provide facilities and programs for students to engage in physical activity and recreation. Campus Recreation operates the Harold J. Auxiliary Services offers a variety of services to students which contribute to an overall positive experience on campus.
- Residential Living Offices: These offices administer campus housing and coordinate residentially based student programming and development through educational and social activities. Residential Living administers all operational functions associated with campus housing (residence halls, apartments, and family housing) and builds community by coordinating residentially based student programming and development through educational and social activities.

- Veterans' Resource Centers: These centers provide support and resources for student veterans. In 2010, the VRC project established an innovative, collaborative effort to ease the transition for our student Veterans as they navigate our community college system.

- Bookstores: University bookstores provide textbooks, supplies, and other merchandise. The Nicholls State University Bookstore services are provided by Barnes and Noble College Booksellers and provides digital, rental, new and used textbooks.
- Dining Services: Cafeterias and food courts offer a variety of dining options for students. Dining Services are located in Vernon F. Galliano Hall Cafeteria and in the food court of Donald G. Bollinger Memorial Student Union.
- Post Offices: On-campus post offices provide convenient mailing services. Vernon F. Post Office serves as a contract station for the United States Postal Service.
- Computer Labs: Computer labs provide students with access to computers and internet. Admissions and Records provides computers for student use located in the Student Services Building.
- Lactation and Meditation Rooms: Some student services buildings offer lactation and meditation rooms to support the well-being of students.
