Unitek College Nursing Programs: A Comprehensive Overview

Unitek College offers a variety of nursing programs designed to meet the evolving needs of the healthcare industry. With a focus on hands-on training, experienced faculty, and career support, Unitek aims to equip students with the knowledge and skills necessary for successful careers in nursing and allied health. The college provides multiple pathways for aspiring nurses, from vocational nursing to Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degrees, and even programs tailored for international nurses.

BSN Program Details

The Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) program at Unitek College is designed to prepare students for a rewarding career as a Registered Nurse (RN) and can also serve as a pathway for current Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) and Associate Degree RNs to advance their careers. The BSN program is a hybrid program with both online and in-person learning. Students can complete theory courses and general education courses online, while nursing skills labs, simulations, and clinical experiences are conducted in person.

Program Duration and Structure

The pre-licensure BSN program can be completed in approximately two to three years. The exact duration depends on credit transfers and the specific pathway chosen. The academic year is divided into three 16-week semesters. Unitek College offers three pathways to complete the BSN program. For non-degree holders, the three-year BSN program will prepare you for the NCLEX-RN licensure exam. If you already have a valid license in Vocational Nursing, you can apply for the Advanced Placement option to earn your BSN degree in as little as two years.

Curriculum and Training

The BSN program equips students with advanced tools and experience to meet the complex demands of modern healthcare and nursing. RNs play a vital role in the healthcare system, performing duties such as assessing and documenting symptoms, monitoring patient responses and improvement, assisting during surgeries and treatments, and administering medications.

Locations

Unitek College offers its BSN program at multiple campuses, including:
