Applying for college can seem intimidating. But paperwork shouldn’t slow you down as you think about training for a new career. That’s why Unitek College made the admissions process smooth and easy. In just a few simple steps, you can submit your application. Once Unitek receives your information, an admissions representative will answer your questions and point you in the right direction-whether you’re a recent high school graduate, a military veteran, or a working adult returning to school. You can review your goals together and get help selecting and enrolling in your program.

Without regard to anyone’s race, color, religion, gender, sexual orientation, or country of origin, all applications will be considered for admission. An admissions representative must conduct an interview with each candidate. Attendance from spouses and parents is encouraged. Once you completed and submitted the application packet and other required documentation, Unitek reviews the information and will inform you if you are eligible for admission. If you are not accepted, all fees paid to the school are refunded.

All students must show proof of completion of 12th grade level education in order to complete the enrollment process and be approved to start the program. E.D. high school diploma. Applicants wishing to submit documentation evaluated by an approved agency take full responsibility to acquire & provide such documentation. If satisfactory documentation is not provided at the time of application, admission may be forfeited, even if all other criteria was met.

All foreign documents submitted for proof of education, or transcripts for credit granting, must be evaluated by an acceptable service in order for the applicant submitting such foreign documents to complete the enrollment process. Unitek College only accepts evaluations completed by Academic & Credential Records, Evaluation & Verification Services, AACRAO’s International Education Standards Council, Validential, and members of either the Association of International Credential Evaluators or the National Association of Credential Evaluation Services.

Nursing Programs

  • BSN Nursing Program: Earn your Bachelor of Science in Nursing (BSN) degree in as little as two to three years. Train to work in a variety of healthcare settings, including complex and critical care, acute care, long-term care, community health nursing, school nursing, and home health. Unitek also assists students with passing the National Council Licensure Examination-Practical Nurse (NCLEX-PN) so they can become Licensed Vocational Nurses (LVNs) in California or Licensed Practical Nurses (LPNs) in Nevada. The VN program can be completed in as little as 12 months and offers day and evening program options.
  • Practical Nursing Program: The Practical Nursing program in Reno, Nevada, is designed with your success in mind. Benefit from expert instruction, clinical simulations, and access to multiple healthcare facilities. To further ensure your success, you will also have access to a simulation center, learning resource center, and collaboration room. The PN program can be completed in as little as 12 months and offers efficient training, skills labs, and class caps, along with NCLEX passing assistance.
  • Associate of Science in Vocational Nursing Program: The goal of this post-licensure ASVN program is to help Vocational Nurses and Practical Nurses become more well-rounded professionals by completing the General Education and science courses commonly needed when applying to a Registered Nursing program. An ASVN degree can also open up more career opportunities, as some employers will only consider Vocational Nursing applicants with an associate degree. The ASVN program can be completed in as little as 12 months and offers no waitlist, experienced instructors, and employment assistance.
