USC Alumni Weekend: A Trojan Homecoming

The USC Alumni Weekend is a cherished tradition, bringing together Trojans from across generations to reconnect with their alma mater, reminisce about their college experiences, and forge new connections. The Alumni Weekend 2025, scheduled for November 13-15, promises to be an unforgettable celebration of Trojan spirit and community.

A Weekend of Festivities

The USC Alumni Weekend boasts a diverse array of events designed to cater to a wide range of interests and preferences. From milestone reunions to tailgate parties and athletic competitions, there's something for everyone to enjoy.

Milestone Reunions

In 2025, USC is excited to welcome back eleven undergraduate classes to celebrate milestone reunions. These reunions offer a unique opportunity for alumni to reconnect with former classmates, relive cherished memories, and celebrate the bonds that were forged during their time at USC. The celebrating classes include 1970, 1975, 1980, 1985, 1990, 1995, 2000, 2005, 2010, 2015, and 2020.

Each reunion class has its own dedicated page with messages from the reunion committee, information on how to connect with classmates, and updates on reunion experiences.

Homecoming Tailgate

The Homecoming Tailgate is an annual tradition that brings the Trojan community together to celebrate their shared spirit and cheer on the USC Trojans. Alumni, students, and friends of the university gather in Alumni Park to enjoy food, drinks, and entertainment before the Homecoming football game.

Several alumni affinity groups host their own tailgates, including the Latino Alumni Association, Black Alumni Association, Asian Pacific Alumni Association, and Lambda LGBTQ+ Alumni Association. Those who wish to attend both an affinity tailgate and the general reunion tailgate should purchase a ticket with the affinity tailgate first, as it will include a "Reunion Tailgate Add-On" option.

The Homecoming Football Game

The highlight of Homecoming Weekend is the football game, where the USC Trojans compete against a rival team. In 2025, the Trojans will face the Iowa Hawkeyes in their first official Big Ten Conference meeting. Alumni are encouraged to head to the Coliseum to support their team and experience the excitement of college football.

Evening Celebrations

The Alumni Weekend also features a variety of evening celebrations, including a comedy show featuring alumni and student comedians, as well as special guest performers. Class-specific after-parties provide a more casual setting for alumni to reconnect and reminisce. For example, the Class of 2020 will gather at JuneShine in Santa Monica, while the Class of 2015 will meet at Arts District Brewing.

Special Events

The Alumni Weekend includes special events such as the Half Century Trojans Hall of Fame ceremony, which honors new inductees and welcomes the Class of 1975 into the HCT family. This event is open to all Half Century Trojans.

Giving Back

Alumni Weekend is not only a time for celebration but also an opportunity to give back to the university. The Reunion Cup Challenge encourages reunion classes to compete in raising funds to support current USC students. The class with the highest participation rate wins the challenge, demonstrating their Trojan pride and commitment to future generations of students.
