NCAA Division II Season Preview

Colleges across Division II have staggered start dates, with softball action commencing as early as Friday, January 30. The Lone Star DII College Classic will feature schools like Colorado School of Mines, Texas A&M Kingsville, Missouri Southern, Emporia State, Missouri Western State, Minnesota State Moorhead, and UT Dallas.

UT Tyler, fresh off back-to-back national championship runs, will begin their 2026 campaign against Saint Martin’s on the same day. Schools in colder climates will have later start dates, such as Hillsdale College on February 6 and Grand Valley State University on February 19.

NCAA Division III Season Outlook
